Your Session Guide

  • Before Your Session...

    1. Complete the Client Intake Form.

    2. Eat and hydrate. Prepare your body for your session by nourishing it with good food and water.

    3. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. Try to avoid caffeine and alcohol 24-48 hours before your session.

    4. Relax and Reflect. Take time to set your intention for what you would like to get from your session. You may want to write it down, meditate, or say it out loud.

    5. Prepare your space. Identify the space you will use for your session. You will need to lay down or sit for the duration of your session. Your space should be quiet and where you can control the lighting. You may want to get a pillow and/or blanket or light incense or candle. You can decide if you would like the lights off for your session. If you will be on your computer, please be sure it is charged or plugged in.

  • The Day of Your Session...

    1. Use the restroom. You want to be completely comfortable during your session.

    2. Get comfortable. Wear loose-fitting and comfortable clothes. If you are prone to get cold, you may want to wear socks.

    3. Eat and drink, but do not eat a heavy meal before your session.

    4. Go to your space. Sit or lay down, have your phone or computer nearby.

    5. Receive reiki!

  • After Your Session...

    1. Integrate. Take at least 15-20 minutes after the session to meditate, lie down, go for a walk in nature, or take a nap.

    2. Don’t make plans. You want to let your body rest and restore. Going to an activity right after your session may interrupt your integration.

    3. Eat and drink. Listen to your body and choose a healthy snack or meal afterward, if needed. Eating dark chocolate helps to ground the body.

    4. Reflect. Listen to your feelings. Whatever you feel is perfectly fine.

    5. Reach out with any questions.
